Abstract

In recent years, with the depletion of traditional energy sources, people's awareness of energy conservation has increased. To save energy, smart lighting is a very effective way.  Smart lighting is a green energy way to prevent our earth from carbon pollution and improve human lifestyle; it also indicates that if we use smart lighting, we will pay. Ultimately, it has good consequences for our health, so smart lighting is a necessity right now. Smart lighting can save electricity and help reduce electricity bills.

Smart Lighting gives users the ability to control the lighting system from their location. The user does not need to use the switch more than once. The lighting system works automatically depending on the availability of daylight and the movements of the user. It also gives users the ability to change and persuade the colour, intensity and brightness of the lighting system according to their mood. For this, it uses different types of sensors, dimmers, and communication devices.

There are many approaches to smart lighting systems, used in different locations for different applications. In this article, daylight dimming, occupancy sensors, and wireless lighting are discussed and their various applications. Various communication technologies are used to control lighting systems. This article also discusses these communication technologies.
