Legacy building rehabilitation is an important part of preserving a country's historical heritage. This procedure should take into account not only physical improvements but also energy reductions centered on the operation stage, without compromising occupant thermal comfort. Despite the fact that a change in the building's occupancy pattern is planned, these characteristics are frequently overlooked during the restoration process. In this context, building energy simulations was used to analyze the thermal behavior of heritage buildings in the public SRCEM, Gwalior that were undergoing a change of use (dwellings, scholars, and offices).
