Abstract

Solar energy is the most reliable source of renewable energy for which the feature energy requirement would be fulfilled, by the technical endeavors to exploit and utilize without affecting the ecosystem. Most of the efforts have been done on PV-based electrical efficiency; these PV devices are greatly influenced by the operating temperature of the PV panel. Hence in order to increase the electrical efficiency, the PV panels must be equipped with minimizing thermal gradient in PV devices. In the present work, the effect of temperature on the performance of the PV panel is observed. It is found that as the temperature of the PV panel increased from 31oC to 40oC, the power output decreased from 40W to 37 W and the voltage dropped from 32V to 30V which is evident that there is a considerable drop in the power output of the PV panel.
