Energy Ratings of an Academic Building

Abstract

The need of energy savings is the biggest challenge at the same time drastic reduction of fossil fuel is also required. The electricity generation poses large threat to the environment due to the demand of modern of energy consumption increased very sharply. Although there are so many ways of electricity generation, but most of them having harmful effect on the environment as well as Society. The people of modern society always in the search of more comfort for that they are using more electronic appliances which make more consumption of electricity. The consumption of energy in non domestic building is a complicate issue since energy consumption takes place in many ways so each building demand should be carefully studied individually. In this paper different source of energy consumption in an academic building and the energy consumption rating has been analyzed block wise. When we are going for energy saving we need to know where we are consuming more energy and where less so that we can save the energy, for that sources of energy consumption and energy ratings will assist to identify the areas of large consumption of energy and take necessary steps accordingly.
