Abstract

The recent trends in website development shows rapid growth in Responsive Web Design, and it is so because this focuses mainly on mobile first approach, that is develop a web page or application such that it renders well on any resolutions of the screen. RWD approach solves many problems on zooming and screen cutting. As we know that most of the internet traffic is now from mobile phones and tablets, traditionally it was from PCs. To ensure usability and satisfaction across all devices, content, design and performance are necessary. A site designed with RWD adapts the layout to the viewing environment by using fluid, proportion-based grids, flexible images, and. Using CSS3 media queries, fluid and proportion-based grid systems and flexible images. This website that we are building follows the RWD approach because the website is mainly based on display of products in such a manner that brand value is maintained, ensuring the quality and quantity of images used. Also, the images must be flexible with every resolution of screen the website is opened on. With that we are also including Google Analytics on the website to monitor the reach of the website and also the conversion rate. This paper will discuss how we used Media Queries, Bootstrap responsive navigation, and layout of streaming technology to achieve responsive web design.
