Voucher Management System for Mobile Recharge

Abstract

This paper discusses about the electronic recharge vouchers and the role of Voucher Management System in the various processes related to these vouchers. The recent trends in mobile recharge voucher business shows rapid growth in the use of e-vouchers (electronic voucher), because the transaction, redemption, distribution and management of the e-vouchers is much easier and more convenient as compared to the traditional paper vouchers or scratch cards. The processes and practices to manage all these states of the vouchers have evolved due to the widespread of the internet all over the world. The traditional scratch cards are no longer the most popular ways of doing a mobile recharge or payment and e-vouchers have taken over them as the more popular option. Also, due to the increased number of mobile phones all over the world, these e-vouchers are being transacted millions of times daily. For the creation, management and distribution of these large number of e-vouchers, VMS is used by the telecom companies. VMS is a reliable solution developed for looking after and keeping a track of the process of creation, management and distribution of the e-vouchers thus providing convenience in the process. The VMS is a better, faster and efficient way of handling this business of e-vouchers as compared to the traditional methods. This paper intends to discuss about how VMS and electronic vouchers are an upgrade over the traditional scratch card system.
