Analysis of the Effect of Work Stress on the Work Performance of Employees

Abstract

This research paper's main objective is finding out the effect of stress on the work performance of employees in the education sector. This research was conducted on 80 employees of private sector Universities in Haryana. Primary data were collected through the questionnaires based on close/ended questions filled by respondents’ online mode and multiple linear regression techniques were used to analyse the data. The results showed from the information received from respondents that job insecurity, over workload and poor working environment are the major causes that enhance the stress in employees at the workplace. Thus, it was suggested that employers should help the employees to reduce their work stress as a result of improving their work performance.
