The Effect of outsourcing Practices and Decent Employment on Organizational Performance in the Banking Industry

The study examined the effect of outsourcing practice and decent employment on organizational performance in the banking sector. The population of the study is made up of 50employeesfrom Diamond and First Bank Nigeria plc. This paper used purposive sampling for the selection of the respondents in which questionnaires were distributed to the respondents for statistical analysis. The study utilized Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) to analyze the data collected and study reveals the number of findings which includes: there is no statistically significant correlation between outsourcing and decent employment, there is statistically significant correlation between outsourcing and productive work, there is statistically significant correlation between outsourcing and competitive advantage. Based on the findings, some recommendations were made most importantly: there should be thorough background check before outsourcing, the organizations must have a back-up system to avoid losing vital data result of incompetence on the part of the external supplier.
