Abstract

Communicable diseases mostly the bacterial can have any portal of entry as well as exit as seen in other communicable diseases. The most common reason for which patients visit hospital, clinics or medical shops are these communicable diseases. Antibiotic resistance has emerged worldwide and has become a global health issue. Very soon will be faced with the highly resistant bacterial strains(superbugs) leaving no space for any antibiotic including the innovative ones. Therefore, Bacterial diseases should be properly diagnosed and antibiotics should be prescribed according to the set practice guidelines (stewardship program guidelines) to tackle this problem. Public awareness programs and campaigns should be launched at larger scale to aware the public regarding self- medication disadvantages, diseases prevention at primary level including acceptance of healthy habits, safe and clean drinking water, hand hygiene, environment sanitation, exercise etc.
