Study of Women's Knowledge of Anemia in a Rural Area of Chamarajanagara District with a View to Developing Education Programs

Abstract

Objective: Assess the Knowledge regarding Anemia in women of reproductive (15-45 years) age group in Chamarajanagar district Methodology: Questionnaire on the demographic preform. Knowledge about anemia used to be used to accumulate the data. An explorative descriptive method has been adopted and a hundred and fifty Women are selected for studies which are from obtained information by easy random sampling technique. Results: Among 150 individuals 70 (46.7%) of the members had correct knowledge, 80(53.3%) of contributors had average information and none of the participants had inadequate expertise concerning anemia and there is no great correlation between information thing and demographic variables such as Age, religion, dietary pattern, Type of Family, Marital popularity and Number of children where p> 0.05. Conclusion: Reproductive-age Women have suitable Knowledge of anemia however lack of practice makes females anemic so there is want for an education program.
