Abstract

Nowadays automation is required everywhere to save time and effort. This project is a graphical user interface control-based system for different automation applications. This system is based on rack and pinion mechanism and intelligent control software (Lab-view), which has been developed using a high-level graphical programming language. The main purpose of this project is to reduce human efforts and time in emergencies. Usually, we control the motors based on the input of sensors or by taking some inputs from the switches. The basic development in this project is interfacing software for making connections between the motor control shield and Arduino and pc.  This project describes an automatic shelf opening in a rack using Lab view software and rack and pinion mechanism. Whenever we search for a particular component in the search bar of the Graphical User Interface, It will automatically open the shelf in the rack which has the required component. Concepts like Virtual Instrument software architecture and Data logging concepts in Lab view are used to transfer data from an excel sheet to software and then to the Arduino based on our selection in the Graphical User Interface created by Lab-view.
