Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of interconnected computing devices that can send and receive data with other connected devices without the need for human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. It is a system that contains embedded technology. Every day, the IoT industry expands. IoT devices are used by people everywhere, including at work and home. Every year, the number of IoT devices grows by 15% to 20%, and according to the Industrial IoT, there will be thirty billion linked devices by 2024, which is four times as many as there are people on the planet. IoT has a big role to play in the healthcare system. The Internet of Things (IoT) aims to bring about a revolution in the healthcare sector by enabling interaction between sensors, actuators, smart devices, and apps. This interaction will enhance the personalization of health monitoring, diagnostics, and treatment while also lowering treatment costs. The healthcare IoT market is anticipated to expand at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 56.27% from 2016 to 2024. The idea behind this research project is to create a gadget and a smart mobile app, where the device will detect body temperature and pulse rate in bits per minute (BPM), send the information to a server online, and the app will display the information from any location via the internet. The Node MCU ESP8266 is utilised in this project together with a pulse sensor to determine heart rate and a temperature sensor to determine body temperature.
