Abstract

This paper explains the selection and configurations of the payload sensors for the high altitude balloon project in ISRA Institute; the scope of this paper is process and analysis weather data via Arduino Mega 2560 and calculates the values of measured data to collect atmospheric measurements for sending it to ISRA ground station Located at the Institute site. The objective is analysis data via a microcontroller, after the selection process which was done based on choose sensors which give a required reading and achieved many critical parameters such as low operation temperature, lightweight (these are the most important factors for selection in space applications), suitable price and availability in the market. Then the MPL3115A2 as a pressure sensor, LM35 as a temperature sensor and DHT11 as humidity sensor were chosen to implement ISRA HAB payload to launch up 59-124ft K meter above sea level next month.
