Design and Modeling of PV/Wind Micro-grid System for Rural Electrification in Ethiopia

Abstract

In this paper design and modeling of Microgrid system with PV and Wind as main source, Battery storage as aback up source is considered. The system contains sizing of component, selection of component and modeling of different converter is discussed. The simulation was done using MATLAB software and the control strategy used was very effective, the simulation result indicates the system to be promising.
