Modeling and Control of Smart Grid Integration with Hybrid Energy Conversion System

In this paper, we will study performance parameters, efficiency and system reliability of
hybrid energy system as they are the key characteristics of smart grid. As world become more
globalize energy demand increases day by day. So, to fulfill energy demand more sources of
energy are required and now-a-day conventional energy source start depicting. Therefore,
renewable energy sources are studied in this paper. This paper consists of hybrid Simulink
model of solar and wind. In this paper dynamic behavior of hybrid system is observed. Solar
model is comprises of solar photovoltaic model, maximum power point tracker system using
perturb and observe algorithm. In wind turbine doubly fed induction generator, converter are
used. This model is implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK software package. Solar
irradiance and wind speed data is collected from weather department. Real time input is used
for proper and controlled working of smart grid model.
