Abstract

In India around 35% of death rates are due to fire accidents and gas leakages. Hence, we are focusing on Industries that produce flammable gases and fireworks involving high temperatures coming in the radius of a high risk work place. Our project aims at the inspection and monitoring of those industries which involve such high risk factors. The area is continuously inspected with a robot that moves according to the situation. Under abnormal conditions, Robot senses and sends the information like temperature and gas readings to the control station for monitoring and controlling. As soon as the robot senses any abnormality in its surroundings, along with monitoring and controlling it will also set an alarm and send a warning to the control station through General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and SMS. This alerts the employees regarding the surroundings and thus to maintain a safe working environment around them.
