Abstract

This paper analyses the connection between
cloud computing and cryptography and goes
into the crucial subject of security and
privacy in cloud-based systems. Cloud
computing has become a well-liked way to
store and handle data in recent years. Due to
the fact that the data is kept on distant
servers that are overseen by other providers,
this has raised issues with regards to security
and privacy. This study's main focus is on the
applicability of cryptography, a time-tested
method of data security that has been in use
for centuries. The introduction to cloud
computing and cryptography and
the problems and opportunities presented by
combining these two areas of research
are briefly discussed. In cloud cryptography,
one of the most important problems is the
management of encryption keys. In cloud
contexts, where keys must be kept,
safeguarded, and transferred between parties,
the study emphasises the significance of
secure key management. According to the
study, centralising key management can boost
cloud cryptography's security and
effectiveness. In inference, this study offers
insightful information about the connections
between the cloud computing and cloud
cryptography, as well as the potential and
problems that result from their combination.
In addition to highlighting the value of safe
key management and encryption in cloud
environments, the study also calls attention to
the necessity for additional study to create
standardised protocols and cutting-edge
encryption methods. The work, taken as a
whole, makes a positive contribution to the
ongoing effort to strengthen the security and
privacy of the cloud-based systems.
