Abstract

This study focuses on analyzing the free-range chicken farming industry egg and meat production and marketing in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. To analyze and contemplate the results and achieve the study's objectives, researchers used the qualitative research method. The findings are organized into four sections. The first section is the socio-economic characteristics of the respondents, the second summarizes how marketing practices occurred in the free-range chicken farming industry: egg and meat production and marketing in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija in terms of their production, development, and promotion. The third is the challenges that they are facing in the selling of chickens in terms of indirect selling and direct selling, and the last section describes the SWOT Analysis of the free-range chicken farming industry. As a result, this analysis relies on primary data from an informal interview with all the owners of the free-range chicken farming in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, and observational research methods. The study team came to a variety of conclusions about the state of operation for handling the free-range chicken farming industry based on the findings of an interview with all the owners of the farms. Researchers, highly recommend free-range chicken farming to advertise, educate more, and initiate positively the entire market and even the whole citizen about the importance of free-range chickens and how it will help the livelihood of each individual.
