Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to identify the opinion about the Covid -19 lockdown impact on online retailing among General Public. Design/ Methodology / implications: A Cross Sectional Analysis is carried out to find out the opinion about COVID-19 lockdown impact on online retailing with the help of a structured questionnaire distributed online. Findings: The results discloses that majority of the respondents as per government order they are currently staying at home and has pre-planned to hold up the lockdown hence they face some consequences over online retailing as dispatched products struck at various junctions and already ordered products being stocked. Research limitations/ Implications: The data for the study was collected from the general public of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu so the results may not be similar to other geographical region. Practical implications: This study is based on a limited number of samples in a population although the Covid -19 lockdown is widespread across the world. Social implications: Unpredicted challenges and control measures has brought curve over nationwide, therefore the opinion over social impact on online retailing differs from one’s opinion to other.
