Smart Ring

Abstract

Wearable devices refer to electronic component or computers that are designed to be worn on human body. The wearable device will allow user to access information in real time by using some form of communication capability. These wearable devices are used for tracking information on real time basis. They have motion sensors that take the snapshot of your day to day activity and sync them with mobile devices or laptop computers. After the invention of smart phones, wearable electronics are the next big innovation in the world of technology. Smart ring is a miniaturized version of wearable, mostly needed to be paired with a smartphone or computer using any connecting technologies. It has a compact design compared to smart watches and smart bands hence they are more users friendly. In this paper, we are designing and implementing a smart ring which is meant to control PowerPoint presentations, to attend calls and to display message notifications. Attending calls and Power Point Presentations are controlled by sensing different hand gestures. Message notifications will be displayed on the ring which is being synced up by an application. Compared to smart watches, it is more compact in size and will be user friendly.
