A Novel Method for Analysing and Visualizing the Placement Records Using Data Science Technology

Abstract

Using Data Science technology, we will be able to easily track, analyze and visualize the placement records for the betterment of placement in the forthcoming years. Data Science is an emerging area and useful for predicting the future based on our past and present data. This paper is intended to boost the placement records by comparing and visualizing the previous year's placement records. Here, I have applied the matplotlib package for tracking the previous year's placement offers. Additionally, we can focus on the premium companies by analyzing the round-wise student performance in the previous years and we can easily increase the student selection count. In this paper, I have taken the sample dataset for the last five years. Placement data in CSV format for three department placements offer a comparison. I visualized the placement count using matplotlib package library functions like bar and X- ticks. Considering X- Label as Years and Y- Label as Placement count for the following departments: CSE, ECE, and EEE. Added to that, I have taken a sample dataset for the Premium Companies Placement Count CSV for targeting premium companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Hence, this paper is intended to provide a strong comparative study for the year-wise placement record and identify the premium recruiters.
