Abstract

The protection of heritage structures has lately gained relevance and awareness in India, as a result of the country's rapid economic growth. Using dynamic thermal models, this research studies the energy performance of a heritage building fort of Gwalior Madhya pradesh India, as well as the thermal comfort of its users. Heating has the biggest energy requirement, followed by cooling and lights, according to the study. The study's findings would aid the authors in identifying numerous sustainable ways for improving user comfort and lowering energy demand in India's heritage buildings.
