Abstract

The article reviews the advanced traveler information system (ATIS) and advanced traffic management system (ATMS) models for intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and an overview of the Indore-specific intelligent transportation system (ITS). The business and academic worlds are the emphasis of the ITS idea. It integrates information, communication, computer, and other integrated technologies with transportation to build an integrated commuter system, roads, and autos by developing cutting-edge data communication technologies. By combining earlier peer-reviewed articles, it is possible to identify current research needs in ITS knowledge in the context of the city of Indore. By utilizing bus runways, handy bus stops/stations, contemporary vehicles, and cutting-edge technologies in the form of Intelligent Transportation Systems, the BRT system will offer an appealing alternative for drivers by decreasing the delays typically seen in ordinary bus systems (ITS). The incorporation of ITS components into the proposed BRT system to enhance BRT's appeal, accessibility, usability, and environmental impact. This study examines the widely debated uses of ITS, the technology used, and its implementation in many fields
