The adult type may be a significant factor in sudden cardiac death. Rare congenital coronary anomaly ALCAPA has a high fatality rate; another name for ALCAPA is Bland-White-Garland Syndrome. A 3- month-old female baby presented to our outpatient department with a complaint of wheeze sound, cold, purple skin colour are appeared due to crying called cyanosis, disturbed suck rest suck cycle and forehead sweating called hyperhidrosis on time of feeds. This case report highlights the ALCAPA; she was treated as a case of (ALCAPA) repair and got intermittent relief in the suck cycle, a rare congenital cardiac abnormality ALCAPA occurs at an incidence of 1 in every 300,000 live births. And the congenital heart defect comprising coronary arteries is 0.25%-0.5%.
Sumit Rangari Jaya Gawai Trupti Uke Copyright (c) 2023 Research & Review: Management of Cardiovascular and Orthopedic Complications (e-ISSN: 2582-5739) 2023-07-13 2023-07-13 1 5 Pulsed Wave Doppler can be used as a New Method of Measuring Blood Pressure https://matjournals.co.in/index.php/RRMCOC/article/view/3695
Hypertension is a chronic condition in which the force of blood pushing against the walls of your arteries is consistently too high. Pulsed wave Doppler (PW Doppler) is a type of ultrasound that uses the Doppler Effect to measure blood flow velocity. It does this by sending short pulses of ultrasound and then measuring the frequency of the returning sound waves. Pulsed wave Doppler is non-invasive and does not expose patients to ionizing radiation, making it a safe and effective diagnostic tool. Materials and methods: 60 patients attended the clinic. We measured systolic blood pressure by the traditional method using a sphygmomanometer and then using pulsed wave Doppler on the carotid artery. Results: The results displayed a significant correlation between systolic blood pressure measured by sphygmometer and peak systolic velocity. The results displayed a significant correlation between diastolic blood pressure measured by sphygmometer and end-diastolic velocity (edv). Conclusion: Ultrasound pulsed wave Doppler is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that utilizes sound waves to measure blood pressure. This technique is particularly useful for patients who are unable to tolerate the traditional cuff-based method, such as those with fragile skin or arterial access issues.

Mahmud Younis Copyright (c) 2023 Research & Review: Management of Cardiovascular and Orthopedic Complications (e-ISSN: 2582-5739) 2023-07-20 2023-07-20 6 18 Yogic Practice for Hypertension https://matjournals.co.in/index.php/RRMCOC/article/view/4222
Hypertension is considered to be an important risk factor for many disease conditions like acute myocardial infarction, stroke, kidney disease, and heart attack therefore high systolic and diastolic blood pressure is considered the main worldwide health problem. In prehypertensive individuals’ lifestyle modification plays a vital role. Sympathetic activity, chemoreceptor responses, and autonomic balance are maintained with the help of yoga and it reduces the B.P. Meditation and yoga practice have helped in reducing blood pressure and the hypertensive population has seen in reducing the use of antihypertensive medication with the help of yogic practices. For treating hypertension healthcare system needs to recognise yoga as a complementary therapy.
Bharti Rana Kushal Raj Copyright (c) 2023 Research & Review: Management of Cardiovascular and Orthopedic Complications (e-ISSN: 2582-5739) 2023-09-13 2023-09-13 19 24 Case Reports on Arthritis, Urethritis, Conjunctivitis, and Mucocutaneous Lesions are all Symptoms of the Same Clinical Tetrad (HLA-B27-Associated Spondyloarthropathy, Reiter Syndrome) https://matjournals.co.in/index.php/RRMCOC/article/view/4348
Reiter syndrome is also known as the clinical tetrad of mucocutaneous lesions, conjunctivitis, arthritis, and urethritis. When he was admitted to the hospital in poor condition, he had Flu-like symptom, circinate balanitis, purulent urethritis, low back pain, dactilitis, keratoderma blenorrhagica, swollen and painful knee and tarsal joints, and bilateral conjunctivitis, and oral erosive lesions. He also had keratoderma blenorrhagica Sacroileitis, thoracic spondilosis, and foot arthritis were all detected by radiography and computerised axial tomography (CAT). The laboratory tests showed the existence of HLA-B27, pyuria, proteinuria, Negative rheumatoid factor, neutrophilic leukocytosis, high erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), hypoalbuminemia, and all of the above. Blood, stool, eyes, urethra, throat, pustular lesions, and microbiologically evaluated samples were all sterile. Chlamydia trachomatis was present in the urethral smear sample (PCR). Skin lesions' histological appearance was consistent with pustular psoriasis. Clinical improvement was induced by systemic administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids, and antibiotics medications. A 21-year-old male patient's condition started to show itself as a skin rash, discomfort, and joint swelling. Treatment for reactive arthritis is difficult. Antibacterial medication may help treat uroarthritis. The two medications that are still most frequently used in the treatment are non-steroid anti-inflammatory medicines and sulfasalazine. When inflammatory symptoms are unresponsive to NSAIDs, steroids are used. There is no definitive diagnosis that can be made based solely on testing or clinical indicators; there is also no gold standard. When the symptoms start, the offending organism might not be curable. To make the diagnosis, it is required to evaluate the clinical presentation in conjunction with the test results. With recurrences and prolonged symptoms; the disease frequently has a poor prognosis. Multidisciplinary management and a thorough evaluation are necessary. Disability can be kept to a minimum with early detection and effective care.
Tushar Waghmare Suwarna Ghugare Achita Sawarkar Copyright (c) 2023 Research & Review: Management of Cardiovascular and Orthopedic Complications (e-ISSN: 2582-5739) 2023-10-10 2023-10-10 25 29 A Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Educational Intervention on Knowledge Regarding Alarming Symptoms and Its Management of Myocardial Infarction Among Workers in Selected Industry At Mysuru https://matjournals.co.in/index.php/RRMCOC/article/view/4376
Background of the study: Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death all over the world. Myocardial infarction is a chronic lifelong illness. Myocardial infarction results in an enormous burden of increased mortality and morbidity. Awareness regarding the alarming symptoms of MI enables a person to prevent further damage by seeking medical help at the earliest. Aim: A study was done to assess the effectiveness of educational intervention on knowledge regarding alarming symptoms and its management of myocardial infarction among workers in selected industries at Mysuru. Methodology: 40 Industrial workers were selected using a purposive sampling technique. One group of pre-test and post-test research designs was used. Data was collected by administering the structured knowledge questionnaire before and after the intervention. Collected data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: Study results have revealed that the majority 20(50%) had average knowledge, 1(2.5%) had good knowledge and 19 (47.5%) had poor knowledge in the pre-test whereas in the post-test test majority, 39 (97.5%) were having good knowledge, 1(2.5%) had average knowledge none of them had poor knowledge. The mean difference between the mean pre-test and post-test knowledge score was 6.63 with the standard deviation difference of ± 1.47. The paired ‘t’(39) =28.577*, which was found significant at 0.05 level of significance. Hence it was inferred that educational intervention had played a vital role in improving the knowledge of industrial workers regarding alarming symptoms of Myocardial infarction.
Munirathnamma K Dhanalakshmi N Usha Rani Sunitha P S Copyright (c) 2023 Research & Review: Management of Cardiovascular and Orthopedic Complications (e-ISSN: 2582-5739) 2023-10-17 2023-10-17 30 35
