Abstract

Target distinction in mono-pulse radar has its importance in navy, defence and space craft
fields etc. The distinction between the actual and faulty targets is done. The distinguishing of
the targets is done by analysing the periodicity of the reflected signal. Here discrimination is
done by performing the series of operation on the reflected signal. The faulty target
considered here are chaff and corner reflector. The target discrimination concept is
implemented on FPGA using the VHDL code. This implementation includes the Xilinx, Chip
scope pro and Spartan 6.
