Abstract

Objectives: a) To assess the level of knowledge regarding behavioral problems among mothers with preschool children. b) To provide structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding behavioral problems among mothers with preschool children. c) To assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding behavioral problems among mothers with preschool children. d) To correlate the knowledge on behavioral problems among mothers with preschool children. e) To associate the findings with selected demographic variables. Methodology: Research approach: Quantitative approach. Research design: Quasi Experimental one group pre- test and post – test design. Research Setting: study will be conducted at selected in semmanichettipalayam. Population: Mother of pre- school children in semmanichettipalayam. Sampling Technique: Simple random sampling technique. Sample size: 30 mothers of preschool children. Result: The study was carried to assess the effectiveness of STP about the knowledge of mothers regarding behavioral problems of preschool children. The mean pre- test knowledge was 0.27 and post- test it was 0.93. The paired t test was 7.97 at p<0.05 was found in significant from the statistical result it was concluded that the STP on the knowledge of mothers regarding behavioral problem of children was effective. Conclusion: The study was to know the effectiveness of STP in improving the knowledge of mothers regarding behavioral problems of pre- school children.
