Abstract

The present study focuses on the study of the seismic analysis of C-Shaped RC building using different techniques. The effectiveness of various types of techniques on the building has also been investigated. For this a G+9 storey C-Shaped building has been designed and then analyzed under various seismic loading or load combinations or under lateral loading. The structural performance of the C-Shaped RC building has been investigated using different types of techniques such as dampers; bracings shear wall and base isolation technique. A comparison study was conducted on storey displacement, drift, and shear. Finally, it can be said that the lateral displacement of C-Shaped RC building with Shear wall and base isolation technique decreases by 63% compared to that of conventional C-Shaped RC Building. By using of Shear wall and base isolation technique in the C-Shaped RC building reduces the storey drift by 76%. Storey Shear value increases with using of X-Bracing and base isolation technique compared to the conventional C-Shaped RC building.
