Abstract

In any building construction sector several problems related to cost, duration, quality, and safety occurs frequently. A single construction project has contractors, designers, consultants and others individuals. All this led to variation in construction labour productivity with apiece project having different climatic surroundings, availability of resources, and supervisor personnel for every project. A literature review of articles related to building construction indicated that little to support that the lower productivity of craftsmen is one of the causes of cost and delays on building projects. Low productivity of labor is substantial mainly in developing countries where the majority of construction task is done manually. This work aims to identify factors affecting labor productivity in building construction project. A total of 50 factors are finalized using literature review. These factors are further ranked based on Relative Importance Index.
