This paper provides comparative analysis of water quality of rivers Ero and Jetty in Ekiti State of Nigeria. 19 parameters were analyzed in this study. Due to high human activities such as farming and urbanization practices, livestock activities along the river banks, the results show water quality deterioration with all the parameters relative to the World Health Organization (WHO) standards. Some of the parameters examined such as temperature, pH, e-coliform, Nitrate, Total Suspended Solids, chloride, nitrate and total alkalinity exceeded WHO ambient water quality guidelines for both river Ero and Jetty. Hence both rivers are defined as polluted and water from these rivers cannot be used for household and commercial purposes, unless prior purification is provided.
