Abstract

In most of the auto sector industries, drilling many holes is commonly required for an assembly of different structures which saves machining time and cost, where machined holes need to fulfill with tight geometric tolerances. For current research work Taguchi with Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) is used for optimization. Based on selected parameters, for constructing an orthogonal array Taguchi method has been applied. Next, multi-objective optimization is performed. To perform multi-objective optimization combined approach of Taguchi and Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) is carried out. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is statistical technique is used for finding most significant process parameters on the performance characteristic.
