Design and Development of Corn Chaff Peeling Machine: A Case Study

Abstract

For a country like India, where the production of corn is on a large scale, harvesting corn has been a challenge, especially for marginal farmers. After a review of literature & research work related to corn harvesting, it was noted that there are problems with harvesting machines that are currently in use. The same has been discussed in this paper. Accordingly, corn chaff peeling machine is developed to overcome the problems. This paper deals with an account of such work carried out for harvesting this very important crop with a specific focus on marginal holding farmers.
