Abstract

The heat transfer coefficient and a number of Nusselt distribution were measured for five different values of heat flux (126.67 to 3750W/m2), Reynolds number (50066 to 105705), and two airflow velocities (4.5 and 8.5 m/s). It was found that the coefficient of heat transfer will be increased with increasing of the number of Reynolds, the flux of heat, and airflow velocity. The number of Nusselt increased with increasing of the number of Reynolds, heat flux, and airflow velocity. Various types of porous media from aluminum, wire mesh, and plastic have been used with different porosity for each type. The results show good agreement with theoretical considerations.
