Assessment of Medical Student Knowledge Regarding Pain Management in Pediatric Al-Neelain University, Sudan

Background: This descriptive cross sectional study carried out among final year's medical student at AL-Neelain University on 2019 to assess knowledge and attitude towards pain assessment in children between 3 to 7 years, questioners were distributed among 70 students most of them were young in graduate age. Methodology: data was collected by interviewing candidates using questionnaire covered objectives understudy and Data was analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical package for social sciences) computer program. Results: The age of final year's medical student in AL-Neelain University 2019 from 18-20 years were (2.8%) then from (20-23) years were (85.7%) and more than 23 years were (11.5 %.). Found that most of them were young in graduate age,(62.9%) of students did not attend courses about pain assessment and management in children and (61.5%) of students had poor knowledge about factors affecting pain assessment in children. Conclusion: student knowledge about pain assessment and management in children ranging between 3 to 7 years old having fair and poor knowledge.
