Abstract

A descriptive study to assess the level of stress regarding parental stress among the parents of neonates admitted in NICU at GGS medical Hospital, Faridkot, Punjab. The aim of the study was to assess the level of stress among the parents of neonates admitted in NICU. Convenience sampling technique was used for sampling. The sample size was 50. The self-structured rating scale was used to assess the level of stress among the parents of neonates. Analysis was done by descriptive and inferential statistics. Data was analyzed by SPSS software. The results of the study revealed that majority of respondents i.e. 43(86%) had mild stress and 7(14%) had severe stress. The association of demographic variables was done by using chi-square test. Findings revealed that there was no any significant association with any selected demographic variables.
