Prevalence of Vaccination for Measles in Bangladesh among Children of Age under Two

Measles is extremely communicable and is one of the leading causes of death worldwide for young children. Despite pervasive vaccination against measles, outbreak of this disease continues to occur in Bangladesh. The Objective of the study was to see prevalence of Vaccination for Measles in Bangladesh among Children of age under two. Using the 2014 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (DHS), full vaccination of children aged 12 to 24 months was examined. Results obtained from this study revealed the fact that there is a positive association between maternal education and measles vaccine coverage. Also, there is a significant relationship between measles vaccination coverage and age-group, division, education level of husband and wife, religion, wealth index and birth order.
