Abstract

According to Bain's research, men and women have similar incentives for going to work regardless of characteristics like financial orientation and companionship. Less than 30% of them report feeling included at work, which is another similarity in their attitudes towards inclusion. Women have made great strides in society and the workforce for several centuries: The majority of nations have expanded voting rights within the past 100 years, and the labour force involvement of women has increased significantly since the mid-century. Working women refer to females who are actively engaged in employment or business outside their homes. This term encompasses a wide range of professions and roles, and it reflects the significant progress that women have made in the workforce over the past century. Historically, women's participation in the labour force was limited primarily to certain industries and lower-paying jobs. However, as societies have evolved, and gender equality movements have gained momentum, more opportunities have opened up for women across various sectors. Today, working women can be found in almost every profession and industry, including healthcare, education, technology, finance, engineering, law, entertainment, and more. They contribute their skills, talents, and expertise to the economy and society as a whole. The challenges faced by working women have also been recognized and addressed by various initiatives and policies aimed at promoting gender equality and work-life balance. These challenges may include the gender pay gap, workplace discrimination, limited career advancement opportunities, and the struggle to balance work and family responsibilities. Organizations and governments around the world continue to work towards creating inclusive workplaces and fostering an environment where women can thrive professionally and personally. The recognition of the value of diversity and equal opportunities has led to improvements in workplace policies and practices, which benefit both women and the overall economy. However, there is still work to be done to achieve true gender equality in the workforce and break down remaining barriers for working women. In the workplace, women and men continue to have distinct outcomes and experiences. We observe three significant disparities between men and women at work: in the choice of occupations, in the importance given to flexibility, and in the treatment of employees.
