Abstract

The goal of the interdisciplinary field of artificial intelligence (AI) is to automate tasks that currently require human intelligence. In industrial settings, inspection has always been an intriguing topic. Controlling the quality of finished goods is especially dependent on the inspection procedure. In this regard, this study suggests using an automated artificial vision system to control manufactured products with defects. The central concept of the proposed system is the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) to support intelligent industry 4.0 concepts and automatically identify faults. In addition, some works in the smart industry employ AI for quality control to draw attention to the issue of visual inspection (VI) and demonstrate the industry's success with AI. Visual inspection, on the one hand, should ensure that the intermediate or final product possesses certain quality characteristics, and on the other, deviations from the manufacturing process can be identified and examined. AI and computer algorithm technology can assist manufacturers in automating the detection of defects in their products, thereby saving time and money and enhancing quality control when applied to product inspection.
