This project proposes the design of a SCARA robot gripper that can be used to empower people with disabilities. The robot gripper would be designed to be highly accessible and easy to use, with easily enhanced features. It would be able to perform a variety of tasks, such as picking up and moving objects, opening doors, and turning on lights. The robot’s gripper would be designed to be affordable and scalable so that it could be used by people with disabilities all over the world. The main aim of the project delve into the design considerations, capabilities, and real-world applications of SCARA robots as assistive devices. Through concrete examples, the abstract illustrates how SCARA robots can assist disabled individuals in tasks such as object manipulation, reaching high shelves, aiding in personal care routines, and assisting with meal preparation. The development of this robot would have several benefits for people with disabilities. It would provide them with increased independence and mobility, and it would help them to participate more fully in society. We as a team are committed to developing a robot that is safe, reliable, and easy to use.
