Abstract

Gesture-controlled robots have the potential to improve human-robot interaction and increase the ease of use of robotic systems. They can also have applications in fields such as manufacturing, healthcare, and entertainment. This work describes the development of a gesture-controlled kinematic robot using visual servoing. The system is designed to recognize hand gestures and translate them into robot movements. The robot is controlled using a camera and a microcontroller, and the visual servoing algorithm is implemented using opencv and Python script. The paper includes a detailed description of the design and implementation of the system, including the hardware and software components. Experimental results are presented that demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach, including tests of the system's accuracy and response time. The proposed system has potential applications in various fields, including manufacturing, healthcare, and entertainment. The report concludes with a discussion of future work and potential improvements to the system.
