It has been already observed that there is a rising trend of energy usage in the building sector worldwide. The significant contribution of this energy is sourced from fossil fuel or non-renewable sources. Therefore, studying the environmental impact and carbon footprint of current conventional energy usage in buildings becomes a necessity. A hypothesis has to be formed to save this energy usage and possibly use renewable sources of energy. So, significant changes in carbon footprint are possible by intervention in the building sectors both in designing & construction as well as operational strategies. The findings of this research will demonstrate that buildings with low embodied energy materials can be more sustainable. As a result, sustainable architects and designers will be increasingly concerned with environmental conservation and take care, raising awareness of environmental challenges, while simultaneously enhancing the quality of life.
