Abstract

Water is one of the important compounds which influence the human life. The present uses of water may be classified as domestic, public, commercial and industrial. Sometimes deep bore wells and special borehole pumps provide water supply to homes or communities where water is scarce. The water quality parameter of bore well may be different in different areas depending upon the topographical condition, geological conditions, human activities etc. In this study water samples are collected from different bore wells in different area. Here we have selected three different areas like, hilly area, field area and river area. Each sample was tested for different characteristics such as pH, Turbidity, Conductivity, TDS, TSS, Chloride, Alkalinity, Acidity, Total Hardness, COD, DO, Sulphate, Nitrate, Fluoride, Salinity. Tested samples will be checked against the standards laid by the Indian standards for potable water as per BIS specifications (IS 10500-1991) or WHO standards for potable water condition. The data has shown that there were considerable varied results in the examined sample from different area with respect to their chemical features.
