Abstract

The present study is a humble attempt “to evaluate the Comparison of Plain ice cubes verses flavoured ice cubes on the prevention of oral mucositis among school going and adolescent patients receiving chemotherapy in oncology unit of selected hospitals, Bhubaneswar, Odisha”. Purposive non probability sampling technique was used to select the sample for the study. The sample size was 40. The data was collected, analyzed & interpreted in terms of the objectives. Descriptive & inferential statistics were utilized for the analysis of the data. The level of significance set for testing the hypothesis was 0.05 using `t` test & chi square test. Findings conclude that the flavoured ice cubes are more effective than Plain ice cubes in reduction of oral mucositis the patient receiving chemotherapy.
