Abstract

We have had to devote a lot of attention to comprehending the mechanics, capabilities, and design of the cutting process as a result of the advancing technologies in manufacturing processes. High-performance cutting (HPC) and high-speed cutting (HCS) research, along with improvements in machine performance, have raised the demand for more precise and enhanced tool characteristics. One of the key factors affecting product correctness, labour intensity, and time to market is tool geometry. Our main goal is to create a fixture for sharpening different tools used in machining processes like milling, drilling, and lay operations, among others. The fixture is positioned on the grinding bed and rigidly holds the instrument that needs to be sharpened at the desired angle concerning the Grinding wheel. A new method for sharpening tools that is affordable, effective, and simple to use is presented. Finally, recommendations for further development are given. To achieve a smooth finish, surface grinding is performed on flat surfaces. It is a commonly used abrasive machining procedure in which chips of Metallic or Non-Metallic Substance are removed from a workpiece to create a flat or smooth surface. We created this project to enable tool sharpening at any angle. We're attempting to speed up the procedure and make it incredibly simple.
