Design and Development of Automatic Leakage Testing Machine for the Delivery Casing of the Pump

Abstract

This project conveys the study of the design and development of an automatic leakage testing machine for the delivery casing of the pump. In the case of mass production where the quantity to be produced is large, it is very essential to manufacture and inspect the job at a faster rate. This is not possible if we check or inspect by using conventional methods. The purpose is to minimize the inspection time for detecting the leakage is present or not in the pump component. A special-purpose machine has the advantage of tailor-making of the machine as per the company and component requirement. These machines are made to order machines that are developed using the best technologies in manufacturing. Since these are dedicated machines they are robust in construction. They reduce the cycle time drastically and complete the task very fast. In this project, we are going to design and develop an automatic leakage testing machine for the delivery casing of a pump which is a special-purpose machine. In this hydraulic power pack system, fixture etc. are to be designed. The main objective of this project is to reduce the cycle time for inspection, reduce labor work, and reduce errors.
