Abstract

We all knew that the crude oil consumption rate has been increasing day by day. Nowadays all of us hear that electric vehicle is going to be the future, on the eye of increase in petrol price. But nearly 71% of electricity is produced by Thermal power plants in India. Every way we are going to end by exploiting the fossil fuel resources. Solar power panels can produce electricity without the consumption of fossil fuels. But producing solar power panels in a large quantity will require a large time span. Is there any other way to deal with this problem? There are many options one of which is 6 stroke engines. The four-stroke engine produces more pollution, but in the six-stroke engine, it captures heat from the fourth stroke and performs its additional stroke. Due to this, we can experience an increase in thermal efficiency. In this paper, we are going to study the evolution and working of 6 stroke engines and further analyze why it is not used in vehicles and how to make that possible.
