Design and Manufacturing of Hydraulic Fixture for Gear Housing for VMC: A Review

Abstract

The paper deals the design and manufacturing of fixture for a selected component i.e. gear housing. It gives idea about design procedure and several advantages which were identified such as increase in production, reduction in cost, inter changeability and high accuracy of parts. Reduction of need for inspection and expenses related to quality, accidents etc. the various operations to be performed with the designed fixture is Milling, Boring Drilling, Tapping etc. This project deals with “Design and Manufacturing of Hydraulic fixture for “gear housing” for VMC” with the help of SOLID-WORKS Technology. The Fixture is designed by applying proper design procedure.
