Three Q’s mainly responsible for improvement of micro structure and mechanical properties that is Quenching time, Quenching temperature and Quenching media. Literature revealed that there are different quenching media used for after heat treatment process. This paper envisages a systematic approach to determine the effect of cow urine as quenching media for Al alloy 2585 and blend with water towards the determination of tensile strength, and micro structure of the alloy. The experimentation is carried out by using Taguchi’s design of experiments (L16 O A) and by using Taguchi’s analysis the optimal setting of process parameters was found for a given response characteristics that is tensile strength. By using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) the contributing effect of each variable for a given response is determined. In this work, Al 2585 alloy specimen 20mm diameter and 200mm length was used.
