Design and Analysis of Frame for Crop Harvester

Agriculture is the main source of income for most of the people in our country. As we all
know agriculture is the most labour consuming activity. These activities include cultivating,
sowing, irrigating, harvesting etc… Of these activities, harvesting is the major process and
involves more labour force. During these activities there is a high chance of getting wounds
and body pains. To overcome all these disadvantages, there is a huge need for mechanization
in agriculture sector. Keeping in mind above all the issues, an attempt is made to develop a
crop harvester which meets the most of requirements of the farmers and also available at the
reasonable price. The frame here is evaluated for the maximum load conditions. The
deformation produced and the stresses developed in the frame for maximum load of 1471.5 N
are found to be acceptable.
