The shift of rural population to major cities and dwelling in urban areas has kept on raising in past decades but the situation of pandemic draws our attention to the other side of this urbanization. The impact of urbanization is been clearly visible and noted down during lockdown and post-pandemic scenario.
a. The Urban Poverty got a rise: this was noted down across every state in the country when labor and working class moved to their native places.
b. Insecurity for rented housing: both the tenants and the owner surviving on the rental values got a major setback during COVID- 19.
c. Political impact on city government: the changing sides of political groups have been the bitter truth as per the democratic concerns for our country.
d. Private transportation services, inequality and pollution: the urban cities witnessed the several major concerns of well-working of city services and amenities.
e. De-Urbanizing could be a call: looking at the transitions of moving from urban to rural and sudden change in the lifestyles and city management, the possible move from a literate population can now create better opportunities for the rural areas or the rise in the number of urban cities must be a new choice post- COVID- 19.
