Abstract

Structural Irregularity is the most habitual thing in the contemporary world. All the structures will contain some types of irregularities. These irregularities will have negative effect on the behavior and stability of the building. Soft storeys is the type of irregularity, due to urbanization and less space the adoption of the soft storey in the multi-storey buildings are very habitual. In this study the irregular shaped building with soft storey is constructed. The 9 storied interlaced building is constructed in the Hexagonal shape. The variation of the Storey Displacement, Storey Drift, Base Shear at particular load combination along X and Y directions are calculated and plotted the graph. The building is analyzed by two methods namely ESM and RSM in two cases with shear wall condition and without shear wall condition. In this research paper the type of method to be adopted in the construction of irregular building with a little negative effect on the stability of building.
